Wazuka-town is located in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture, near the upper-stream of Kidu-gawa River which flows into Yodo-gawa River. This town is well-known for its tea production. Almost half of the “Ujicha” production of Kyoto Prefecture comes from this small town.
Beautiful landscapes of tea fields on hills surrounded by sound environments of forest and river have attracted people, indeed some young people who love this environment moved away from urban area and settled in this town to try to develop a “Green tourism” or a “Experience-based tourism”.
